Quote shaun_edwards_cheekbone="shaun_edwards_cheekbone"My first challenge cup final was v. Wire in 1990. I remember stopping at services (I think Watford Gap) and joining in with playing tag rugby, two groups of Wire and Wigan fans in white Boiler suits (don't know what all that was about), the friendly atmosphere (compared to football), the "beer hill" outside Wembley with all the singing, the shock and awe of reaching the top of the steps and seeing the inside of Wembley in all its glory for the first time, THAT hit from Bob Jackson on Shaun Edwards (hence the username) and best of all seeing Paul Bishop get poleaxed and staggering around like he didn't know what planet he was on.
Roll on 4-30pm today.'"
I have great memories of that final too. We paid £12 for tickets and there had been a big mix up. We ended up sat in the Olympic Gallery worth £45 each, drunk and very out of place! Then we missed the coach back!! Awesome!
