Well given Joel is in the centres these days, Hoffman gets one of the 2nd row slots and is arguably the best 2nd row at the club, who is better than Hansen for the other slot? I can't think of anyone else good enough to oust him for that slot at the moment.

With Pat in the team defo. HH? Not really. What he offers is more replaceable than Pat. However, it's all a matter of opinion, and after last times outing of my thoughts on HH I'll not be going into it again, I do not enjoy being dragged over 11 pages for having a different opinion. Leave it at that.

my comments are all in good nature but you did rather set yourself up for some flak by starting a negative thread about the player.

However I simply do not think what you say above is true i.e. he is more replaceable. The simple fact of the matter is we do not have a player as good as him to replace him when he is out so by definition the team must be weaker when he is not available. If we do have such a ready made replacement, then name him.

IMO, HH is quite simply the Mick Cassidy of the current Wigan team.

Make of that what you will, but I think the "Cassidy role" is just as important to any team as any flash of brilliance from a cheeky half-back.

A ready made replacement would have been Farrell, as LSOW as stated before and at the time was correct, although I do feel since HH has come back into the team he has stepped up a gear and currently would definitely be the starting second row. in the past HH has always been a good, solid workhorse second row the like of which we have others so I could definitely see his point. I stood up for him at the time as he got lambasted simply for having an opinion.

We also have Hock back in the side now and who is to say we would be any weaker if he played instead of HH? Obviously on current form HH would get the nod but that might not always be the case.

As I said on the Wire board, Hansen is our Ben Westwood. He tackles anything that moves, hits hard and runs hard. Well done H keep it up!

TBF I think Ben Westwood has improved dramatically over the last couple of years, and pips H in attack.

I honestly don't know how people can even put H alongside Pat. Pat is without a doubt our best winger and one of the most valuable players on our team, his MOS award documents this.

Pat is a points machine. Yes HH has stepped up of recent games and is playing well, of current form he is more than worthy of his place in the team, which is fantastic as all I want is the team the improve and win all comps.
