There's a school nearby which we usually use - never had any problems.

Always park on Gore Crescent or one of the adjoining roads just next to the ground. Can get busy for league fixtures but for a friendly will be fine. 2 minutes walk, never had any problems at all - but as others have said, it's never wise to leave Wigan branded stuff on display at away fixtures.

Does any-one know yet if there is transport being provided to Salford's ground?

park just off eccles old rd in claremount rd, 5 mins to ground & east lancs also

I usually go by train


But my uncle goes by car, and he parks in one of the little side streets, and he hasn't had any trouble yet.

I just phoned the ticket office and there is no transport being put on for this match!!

Manchesters Car Crime rate is even higher than Salfords ,, good call
Claremont Rd, Lancaster Rd , Gore Crescent are all fine and the park n Ride at Ladywell with one tram stop. afraid it only takes a few ' undesirables ' to give an area a bad reputation sorry.

I used to think that way when I parked to walk down to the old Central Park ground.



Watersheddings, Knowsley Rd & the Boulevard were also particularly ' colourful areas ' . wondering if you still had your Car Aerial and all it's Windows when you got back.
I guess todays fans have got it easy.
Soon we will all be in sanitised Plastic Stadia so this may be one of last times to experience one of ' old ones ' .

We park down the road at the side of the 'Hope' pub and we've never had any problems at all. It's about a 5 minute walk to the ground from there and easy to get back on the Lancs after the match.
