Remind me again where I've said anything negative? Griffin should be in the squad but not in the team ahead of Fielden. I asked him to name me a better 2nd rower than Tomkins and. He came back with Tickle and a Wigan squad member.

I think some people make too much of Tomkins being the most penalised player in Super League. Wigan were the most penalised club in the league and Tomkins played more game time than any other forward at the club. It's not that surprising that he tops the list.
In fact, in terms of penalties conceded per minutes on the field, Fielden and Coley would probably come out worse.

No one seems to mention Jon Wilkin having a problem with a lack of discipline, yet he's conceded more penalties per game than Tomkins. It's simply easier to say Tomkins is the most penalised player so he must be the worst disciplined.

Joel averages about 1.2 penalties per game, which isn't a major concern for a player who generally plays 80 minutes, makes more carries per game than his team mates and was the second top tackler at his club.
