WTF. You have no idea. Whilst it is nice to finish top it does not make any difference in the competition, winning the Grand Final is the only way of becoming champions. This has been the RL way since SL.
Had the exact same conversation with your near neighbours after we won for an unprecedented third year in a row, something which even your lot (who everybody seems to think are the most succesful side) havent come close to.
If Wigan ever win the competition three years in a row, without breaking salary cap, then see if you think "You're not that good"!!!! Not even going into the injuries we have before Danny.

Saying that if you would have been to a GF in the past decade youd understand! One season wonders, a NRL club will come for your coach soon then where will your journeymen squad be.
Although be nice to see a Wigan coach that can show his team how to tackle under the chin! |

You could say that but if you win the GF and you haven't finshed top then its a bit fake really isn't it? You know what i mean? A 'hollow championship' if you like.
Wigan have been to 3 GF's in the past decade. THey have also finished top of the league as many times as 'the best Leeds team in history'
We could be one season wonders if we don't win the league again next season. I hope we don't just win the cup or end of season playoffs and think we are great or anything. |
