If it was the intentional cheap shot you're making out he would have led with his forearm or swung for his head like a couple of other forwards in the league are prone to to. It was a definite penalty, and could be argued to deserve a yellow for the lateness, but never in a million years was it an intentional late tackle on a guy without the ball.

Watch it again yourself, he was running full pelt at the time the ball was released and put his arms out infront of him, didn't lead with the forearm or go for the head.

Lockers was committed, but certainly carried it through rather enthusiastically. Contact was in the chest and was pretty harmless. I thought it would be 10 mins, or on report and was surprised when no action was taken.
