There is no doubt the club as a whole is heading in the right direction. As for a revolution, well i'd prefer to wait and see if our results prove this.

Our problem will be that our pack is the same.

Let's not get carried away. Being a head coach COULD be a bridge too far for MM. Let's comment in June/July.

But they will all be bigger, fitter and more motivated by Wane. They will be running in like Wane used to because they won't play if they don't.

There's no problemns in being optimistic, hell with the set-ups in place and the things coming out of the club, why should we not get excited?

BUT....

We are building us up to be the Harlem Globetrotters of SL. We will not win 'everything before us' this season. That's not me saying I don't think we can because I do think we are more than capable of winning a trophy.

The posters posting that we will 'dominate' SL will be IMO among the first to post 'Maguire Out' when we don't dominate SL.

Be patient, success will come in time.

To be fair, the only person who used the word dominate was Odemwingie. However I suspect he didn't mean we were going to win everything, or even to do it next season - I merely think he was being a little over zealous at the prospect of us being a real serious challenger again over the next few years.

For however poor we were at times last year, and for however much the fans of some clubs decry us as rubbish we were within 13 points of the challenge cup final (or more rightly a stupid 20 minutes of play), and 4 points of the grand final.

Now if we can do that with a side that most can see isn't playing to it's potential.......

I remember feeling really optimistic about our chances before the Millward season. I'd hate to see some of the posts in this thread in sigs on other forums. Let's see what happens

Why do you think that you will have a better season than last year?

From looking from the outside you seem to putting a lot of faith in a untested first grade coach, now while he has a great assistant caoch pedigree, that doesnt mean he will make a great SL coach.

The other reason seems to be that your youth players and their are some great ones will be a year older, but isnt that the same with all teams?

A few other teams have strengthen(some more than others), while you have signed Deacon who should be no more than a back up.

Unless you sign at least another (top) prop forward I cant see you challenging for a trophy and would expect you to finish outside the top four (before playoffs).

I can see on and off the field that Wigan are haeding in the right direction (hopfully like my team Hull), but it may need another season where Mcguire can bring in his own players and get the team playing the way he wants too.
