And to think under Noble's duty of care/Smith's injury he wouldn't have played half as many games.

Not sure how you work that one out i am sure he played in most games when Smith was here. I think he came off the bench in most of the when Tommy went to 9 Smith to 7 and Sam to 6 i stand to be corrected but sure thats how it was in most games. When Smith went we had no option but to let Sam start every game.

His selection is NOT an indication of a lack of quality in the league. And it WAS only because of Tim Smith's injury that he got his chance. Failure to trust Sam's ability was Noble's biggest single error.

Also well done for still calling the stadium the JJB.... (in club video)

bollox. Sam was told before the season began by Noble he would get between 10-15 games. Noble told us in Australia he was expecting Sam to get 10-15 games regardless of Tim Smith. There are other people on here to back me up on that aswell that it came from Nobby's mouth.

Well as i have posted above and just been through the teams Sam did not play in 5 games before Smith left and one was his England call up. He did not start in most of them but came off the bench which in the long term was probably the best way. And when his chance came he took it with both hands Well done Sam.
