There have been some awful games this year, as much as it was a high scorin game the Warrington v Bradford game at Odsal is probably the worst game I've seen this year.

I've enjoyed most of the games I've seen this year. The one really poor one that stands out for me is the game versus Huddersfield. We were pretty poor but Huddersfield's lying on tactics totally ruined the game as a spectacle.
The openng game v Wakefield was on a par, not due to Wakefield's tactics but our total and utter ineptness.

There was one game against Hudds at home years ago when a player got sent off from their team in the first few mins and we just bladdered them. It was rubbish.

most boring game was hull kr away in the challenge cup in 1990 plus i never be as cold on a ground it must have 4 below freezing on a sunday afternoon

A friendly against Hull at Central Park around 1997 1998. Hardly anyone there. Wigan winning easily but not doing it in style. The only time I've ever left a game with a fair bit of time to go.

| The only thing I can really remember was Alan Hunte was playing for Hull and some short sighted old feller asking 'is that Connolly' every time Wigan had the ball. Oh I remeber being stood on the Kop for some reason  . We never stood on the Kop. |

England v Australia, 2000 World Cup opening match at Twickenham. Utterly tedious, freezing cold, tipping it down, no atmosphere in the less than half-full cabbage patch. I'd persuaded several people to watch their first game of rugby league that evening. It took me years to persuade some of them to go back!

Me and the missus drove up from the south for that game and watched as one sided afair as I had seen for a while.
It was the first game she had seen of the mightly Wigan, sadly since converting her to the great game things have not kicked on the the heady days of the 80' and 90's |
