Holding or jointly holding the record number of League Titles, Challenge Cups, Regal Trophies, Lancashire Cups, World Club Challenges, Premiership Trophies, Lancashire Leagues etc etc. Thats every major competiton we could have entered bar the BBC 2 Floodlit Trophy!

Or does all that count for nowt?

Not to mention our support, past players and generally if you ask anyone outside of RL to name a team they will say Wigan. Face it we still are.

I noticed that when looking for information on a Castleford player a few weeks ago.

Castleford are probably the most un-professional club I've ever known. Just after the salary cap situation, there was a call over the tannoy towards the end of one of their first team games informing supporters that their reserves were playing Wigan reserves a few days after and basically encouraged them to go down and vent their fury towards anything to do with Wigan. Unsuprisingly, the Wigan lads were verbally abused through out the game. That to me, was sick and several parents complained.

They seriously need to get over it. It's little club syndrome at it's finest & it's just a shame that the stupid, bitter crying stems from the club itself opposed to just the supporters.

We have a a new regime, they should vent their crying to the old one.

Didn't you listen to what your chairman told you at the forum the other night?

1) You're so great that you had difficulties getting a sponsor, which cost a lot of money in shirts etc.
2) You have a small back room staff (management, coaching physios etc.), one of the smallest in SL
3) The financial losses you were reporting turned out to be nothing to do with Whelan's money shuffling (as many believed), you were genuinely making massive losses (and possibly still are).
4) You've spent so long buying ozzies that you've been left with a one man scouting team that lazily just goes to one or two local ARL clubs.
5) You rent a night in someone elses ground where they might let you share a corner of their shop (at a price).

6) Shall I go on or have you got the point?

Did you ever see the end of the Wizard of Oz when the curtain was pulled back and the Great Wizard was revealed as a sad old man hiding behind smoke and mirrors to pretend at greatness? That's Wigan that is.

Unprofessional from Castleford. Just makes them look very bitter and childish.
