| Quote WarriorSteve="WarriorSteve"Noble doesnt want to coach in superleague after 2010.. therefore he wouldnt want any longer than a further one year deal... therefore I don't think his re-appointment is performance based, but more a case of if wigan can get the best man this year... then no deal for noble.. and if no one is available assuming noble doesnt get a job offer in the NRL he will stay and if he does get an offer he will go at the end of the year...
Very interesting twist on the noble situation, I asked IL the question on the subject and he was more open when I pushed him on the issue rather that the "there is no announcement to make" stance he took in his presentation..
One thing IL did say was that he was embarrased at times with the comments on the forums about certain players who seemed to have been victimised... and enforced his opinion(and mine) that it does nothing to improve "said" player... but pushes them away and affects there performance... he named richie mathers as an example of a player who has since gone on to play better football in a team were he has been given a chance to find some form.... he reiterated that Karl Price should be given a chance.... and he also pointed out that this weeks comments on this board about Amos roberts were out of order after the performances he has put in of lately...
I had a good evening and will definately attend the next one, IL lost his rag with a chip shop owner at the start of the fans questions... which was pretty funny...
One last point.... season ticket prices for next year havent ben finalised... but the club is looking to cut prices for kids.. one of the reasons is that we have the oldest (in terms of average age)supporters in the league....'"
What was the question that caused him to lose his rag

If that's all you're interested in then it's a good job you didn't attend

| There was a mention of a possible partnership with Leigh, Barrow or Widnes. This was due to a new dual-registered player system, where if players are to go out on loan to said partner club, they could play for said club one week and the following week could be recalled and play for Wigan should injuries strike.
The current system means that players going out on loan, have to stay at that particular club for four weeks and only after four weeks can that player be recalled and obviously injuries can strike at any time.
There was also talk of a partnership (which has been mentioned on numerous occasions before) with an NRL club where a young player would go overseas and more likely play in the Toyota Cup competition in Australia whilst an overseas player would come in the opposite direction to have a taster of rugby league/life at a UK Super League Club.

| Can't say I'm too surprised about there being no new signings. The first sign was when Coley re-signed. While some people were saying what a great deal it's the time I began to panic. This was an oppurtunity to release some funds on the salary cap and use some of Hock's salary to bring in a better prop.

| The question that made him lose his rag was why in the press has IL stated that he was looking for an enforcer prop & a halfback when at the forum he said that we had no money to spend on players for next season.
IMO Il was pretty poor tonight and he has lost credability for me

What right did he have to lose his rag then? He can't deny it. What was his reply?

Can someone who was at the forum please posts a detailed report as according to our other fans website there were some pretty scathing things said about the fans / these websites.'"
I think its fair to say that some of the comments on the other websites are based on comments made without being there themselves... I think we are still suffering with the salary cap with Feka's and Fielden's wages.. it is a difficult time at present with currency rates to be able to attract the top stars as before they may have wanted £250,000 were now they £350-400,000 which means that we cannot afford them... Lenegan has said that all the players that he has been looking at... are either crook, coming over for the wrong reasons, wrong age, heads etc and he wasnt prepared to let 3-4 wigan lads with potential to leave to get one of these mercenaries... it does look as though we are going with the same squad next year.. and like IL said once both feka and fieldens wages are addressed we can maybe make some better moves... carmont will be here next year, as IL thinks he has 1 or maybe two years in him..
We were in the market for Brett finch.. but he wanted massive money and with Sam T coming on so well, it was a priority anymore... which is one of the reasons behind retaining phelps and coley and bailey aswell(assuming he signs).
