We haven't played "dire" rugby this season.

To be fair to Noble, I wouldn't call it an 'end of season run' in 2009.

We had a bad start. Shocking game against Wakefield which knocked confidence. But bar one stinker against Celtic - since mid April we've done OK.

The Celtic one is a major problem, that aside we would be right up there now. Yes, it was a shocking start but arent we something like 11 from 14 now?

With a solid half back partnership which will be round for a long time... who complement each other well... were I thought barrett and lulu didnt always... with a few extra players maybe our early season form in the future maybe somewhat brighter.. we have beaten saints, hull kr, leeds and huddersfield this year... then maybe just maybe we are not as far away as we/I thought....

The team's performances are going to be the casting vote in nobles future not what any of us fans want. If we go on to win the challenge cup and get anywhere near the GF how can the board get rid of him would it not of been a productive season regardless of how we started the season.
I for one dont want to see noble there at the end of the season but who is going to be available with the right credentials.

Something like that. And the Hull Kr and Wire defeats were decent efforts - probably a lack of creativity let us down.

There in lies the problem.... do we take a risk on an unproven coach or do we stick with who we have?? If our bad start had continued to the end then yes its time to move on... but the performances have been great and the win/loss ratio recently has been top of the table form.... If wayne bennet or the guy from melborne came available then yes lets move on.. but if we are going to get an aussie assistant who's unproven at the top level then maybe like I said before "its better the devil you know than the devil you don't"

yes the half backs , but the TEAM which the half backs geneerally controll are playing to a plan given to them by the coach

Go on Stu, who is available who you would have to replace noble.. I guess the same reasoning has been behind the re-signing of coley... what other class props are available?? what class coaches are available??

I have been undecided on Justin, he is unproven in play off, semi final, cup matches... yes he can get his team to perfom consistently but what about in "do or die matches"??

Maybe it might be a bit soon after tonights win to sign noble for another year... but if we beat saints again this year and warrington in the semi, then I will be in no doubt that noble has earned the right to stay for another year...
