| Was a gamble that shouldnt be tried again, but it saved a huge rejig. Hopefully Flanagan will get a look in next week.
Sam was sensational tonight, yes at times he tried to win it on his own, but at times he was given little support from the rest of em.
Roberts and Goulding linked up quite well a couple of times I thought.
Mossop was solid but Coley was immense

Think that was more the issue rather than a case of him being 'greedy'. There were either no runners or the Cats defensive line speed was that quick that they gave him no option but to go it alone.

Stop miss reading my comments! I want him to do these things of course, but what he did tonight was so easy to read if tou were a Cat defencer, that's why they came to nothing. So slight to throw a dumbie, all the imne did was move across with him!

Id go back to what i said last week.....the only option is to prop him or whack him in the second row....he can't be lazy there...he'll either sink or swim...and either way we're winners...we either find he'll realise his potential or realise him as a waste of space and get rid!

Riddell was abismal near to the line for distribution tonight, too many times are Tommy and Sam catching it around their ankles. But other than that he was ok.

I agree. Not just Riddell though, passing was all over the place tonight; behind them, round the ankles or above the head.

There were 3 occasions where we passed the ball out from near the corner flag 1 yard from the line and Ridell got stick form the Kn0bheads behond me for shocking passes, it wasn't him it was Phelps!!!!!!
Far better team with riddell on the field.

| Quote LovesToSpooge="LovesToSpooge"Well thankfully it was an experiment that didn't cost us the points, seeing as this is the team selection thread how did Goulding and Mossop get on since there reintroduction to the team?'"
Both went very well I thought. Mossop came on first in replacement for Prescott (I think but I am sure it was one of the props). I was bit surprised at that but never mind though, he did not look out of place and looked strong.
Gouldiing had a good game as well and of course scored the winning try in the corner which despite his modesty being interviewed in GMR after the match took some scoring.
If ever we need to get a player out on loan it;s Pryce. At 6 in the 2nd half he received the ball three times when we were 10m out and just looked clueless as to what to do. He didn't even try and have a go at the line and use his weight. OK the passes caught him stood still as were most of his team mates but the contrast between him and Tomkins who was lively throughout was stark.

I agree I thought Sam was easily our best player. MoM went to Richards but I thought Sam easily deserved it. His kicking game was spot on again and he was always trying something. I think Richards got MoM for his tries and also in sympathy at another off day with the goal kicking. He really needs to work on this as it is going to cost us a game soon.

Coley did have a good game and took it to the Les Cats pack. I's like to see Mossp have a go in the 2nd row. I think he would be pretty awesome there ad while one day he may end up at prop I think 2nd row now suit him better.

| If we have the same players available next week, I believe there are 2 realistic options:
Ainscough off the bench for Richards, Richards to 1, Phelps to 9.
Flanagan for Piggy, at either 6 or 9. Never een him play 9 but I believe he may do a job there. Have seen him at 6 and feel that while he's not a long term 6, he could hold his own.
If Gleeson is back, I'd expect Goulding to come off the bench at 3 with Gleeson going to 6.

Richards is not a full back. He "does a job" there but that's about it.
Phelps is a much better option at full back.
It's simple imo.
Tomkins 6, Lulu 7 Riddell 9
End of.

Hard to give it when no forwards are running off you. Well done to Hansen for sticking his hand up a few times and taking the hit for sam. I thought Prescot went missing at times tonight. Coley started for me to but raised his game later on.
