| Think we can under estimate Salford. Granted they've been poor but we should still give them respect as an opponent. The way some of you are talking it's as if we've already won. They have played 5 games and won 1 and lost 4. We've played 6 games won 2 and lost 4. Not huge difference in results.
To go into this game with a cocky attitude will most likely see us lose. Only player i'd give a chance to next game barring injuries is Prescott. Drop either Fielden or Coley. It's important we gather some momentum and consitancy.
I know we have Smith and mathers but we can't play them just to make them feel better, if they're not upto the standard then thats their problem.

| Quote Fly Of Carney04="Fly Of Carney04"Im going to get show down for this but I think Noble should play both Mathers and T.Smith next week against Salford seeing as Salford are not playing to good I feel its their only chance except for Barrow to get back into the first squad only if we are hit with injurys.'"
I don't agree. It's too early in the season for resting players and barring injuries, I don't know why either player deserve another chance in the first team.
Mathers has had plenty of chances, and let's face it, has been the least convincing last line of defence since Doc Murray. So why drop Richards, Ainscough or Roberts?
Tim Smith offers little in attack and is a complete liability in the defensive line, so I'd stick with our current half-backs. I was pleased when we signed him, but at the moment, it looks like that gamble hasn't paid off.

| Quote SiY="SiY"Think we can under estimate Salford...'" Too right. They are a bogey team of ours. I have many an unpleasant memory of walking away from the Willows after having been "surprisingly" beaten. We have always been better than them, but if the players believe that walking onto the pitch we have pretty much lost at that point.

| Salford will up their game against us. They will feel they did ok v Saints and will be looking to prove they've put their troubles behind them with a win in front of their own supporters.
Any number of Wiganers in their team who would just love to beat their home town team.
The only change I'd make, bar injuries, would be Prescott for O'C. I think Noble should rotate these two young props and Salford would be a good opportunity.
Perhaps put Pryce on the bench so when a 2nd row is spelled Bailey goes there with Pryce on at right centre.

See heres the problem. Because if they don't we'll find it hard to win against Salford and these are the types of points that we should be picking up.

Maybe playing one of them, instead of all of them. Because if all of them dont perform then it could be more points that we loose out on.
I would like to see Prescott given a go, instead of coley.

| Pryce needs a run at centre sooner rather than later.

He is a big unit, we need to get his match fitness improved then he could play a key roll in anything we might achieve this year.
