If they were on about the best full-back in SL now, then it'd be IMO Brent Webb, then Wellens.
I don't think there is any realistic comparison between Wellens and Radlinski. Radders kept Wellens out of the GB team for many years, Waite and Noble choosing Radlinski over Wellens.
Radlinksi is/was far better than Wellens is.
But I have to concede, right now, Wellens is the best British full-back, which is kind of worrying.
