I realise this is likely to be moved or deleted but I think we need to start building bridges.

Dave Whelan made the effort this week in supporting our game against Saints being played at home. I think it only right we should recognise the football teams efforts in avoiding relegation.

However, we need to be adult about this and recognise that each club helps the other financially and by slagging each other off we do our clubs no favours.

I went to watch Latics in the Northern Prem at Springfield Park but stopped going because of the anti rugby brigade. I am sure there are Latics fans who would go to the rugby but for the bad feeling. time to grow up and get along!

I have my reasons but it doesn't get anyone anywhere at the end of the day.

I was simply referring to Mr 'PR' Whelan.

Great effort from them and they deserve to take the plaudits. I'm proud to come from a town where we have one of the top rugby teams and a Premiership club. Would be nice if more people could see it that way. Whelan takes a lot of stick and I myself have dished it out to him at times, From a rugby POV you can see why people may have a problem regarding the use of the stadium etc but he has done a lot for the town and people need to remember he is a Business man, not a charity.

I'm a fan of both so I'm a very happy man tonight. I'd always put Wigan RLFC down as my first love but I'm a rugby league obsessive and am as much of a football fan as the next man.

The bickering between both clubs is laughable! We're the only town or city in the UK with a top flight Rugby League and football club. It's brilliant for the town and a real source of pride for me and a lot of other people.

Last I checked London was a city in the UK and as well as having a team propping up the Super League they have a few teams up at the top end of the Premier League too. So basically a mirror image of what we have.

There is a city called London but it is small (just 1 square mile) and has no Premier League soccer clubs and no Super League clubs.

The very large administrative area, also called London, is basically a county. In fact in the 30's up to the 70's it was called London County.
It then became Greater London County.
