| really can't call this as its so far away
If it was being played next week I'd say Wire would edge it but its 9 weeks away and anything can happen between now and then, will be a mighty fine day our though I'm sure of that

| I honestly think that this game will decide the outcome of both major trophies , the winners should go on and lift the Challenge cup and the team that loses will regroup and kick on with added incentive to pick up the League leaders sheild and SL trophy..Huddersfield will no doubt be a threat as will Saints but Wigan and Warrington do look the most likely to pick up silverware

| A lot can happen in the next 8 weeks (or however long it is) we are nowhere near hitting our peak yet and Warrington are at the top of there game, that could switch around before we play them quite easily, Hock and Fielden will be back. Cant wait though, should be a sell out and a cracker!

It'll be the Saturday.
This is the dream tie for the BBC.

| Quote: MadDogg "Harsh, honest reality - Warrington are the one team over the last couple of years who have had our number. From the games between the 2009 semi to the home fixture this season they have shown up as the better side in those games. Even in the one we won last year in round 3, we were second best for 65 minutes.
I'm not unhappy with the draw as like others have said, you have to beat the top sides at some stage. I also like others feel the away tie suits us.
It goes without saying we'll have to build our form leading up to it but we have time to do that. In my opinion to win against Warrington, we need to significantly raise the level of aggression and intensity in the forwards. Hopefully Hock and Fielden may help with that but everyone will have to step up - we've been well beaten by the Wire lads in that area in past games.'"
Good post. Let's face it, despite what some fans of either side are saying, it will be a very close game, and hopefully a chance to really showcase our game on national TV.

| i don't think dire keep beating us because they are a better(which they clearly aren't) i think it's psychological, just like when dire couldn't beat saints for approx 100 years, it will be a great match apart from being awash with warrington scum in the ground and pubs nearby

| The most regrettable aspect of this draw is the 9 weeks of undiluted ar$e gravy that will be served up on here as a result.

| First chance i've had to comment on the draw and i've got to say i'm happy enough with it. I think we proved on Sunday at Bradford that we aren't at our best in games we're expected to walk and we play at our best in high pressure situations. We'll go to Warrington as underdogs as it stands and that will suit us fine imo. We will see our players fired up and ready to match fire with fire with an aggressive Wire side and i'm expecting an unbelievable contest.
They're a great side but so are we and as people have mentioned it's a flip of a coin game. The gap between the rounds now means it's impossible to call as so many things can change in that time.
Can't wait.

you don't have to come you know!
on a serious note games are won and lost on psychology.
on a less serious note....
psychologically your already at a disadvantage now when you enter the land of scum, we can smell your fear (as well as the smell of old pies)!
back on topic however, i feel this will be our biggest test in the CC this season apart from getting huddersfield i viewed this as our toughest draw. saints are wrecked with injuries and are ripe for beating at the mo. will they recover in time for the next round? only time will tell. who will win between wire and wigan? i would think it's gonna be a tough and close match from start to finish.
