Just signed a professional contract and is with the first team next year so I guess we’ll see.
He’s been training with the first team this season at times so the hard work starts now. He’s certainly got the raw potential and has been very impressive when I’ve seen him.
I know Rogues rates him highly

| Walmsley named in the 21 man squad for Friday. Whilst I don't think he will play this week I think he will next week.
I was told he would be back for the play offs and posted the same on Red Vee, not many thought it was true but looks like the rumours were true.
That's a huge boost going into the play offs.

Just seen that, and it'll surely rattle a few sides.
FWIW, I'm more fearful of Paasi; Wigan always seem to struggle to contain him, but do a good job on Walmsley. When's Paasi due back? I'm right in saying he's definitely out of this year as Asiata did a proper job on him? Saints are looking ominous for the rest of the league currently...

June/July next year for Paasi if indeed he does return. I'm not 100% sure he will personally, I can see him retiring.

| Saints at full strength bar Paasi. The bookies favourite and still the team to beat.

I am being slightly pedantic but Wingfield also missing who normally plays when fit. It's questionable whether Delaney has overtaken him now though.

Fair enough. Perhaps I shouldn’t base my opinion on the few matches I have seen him play. As you say, time will tell.

I know that in the last game Wigan did a number on him but did you watch the return fixture at Robin Park back in April? He was outstanding, Wigan literally couldn't handle him. I remember RG saying afterwards that he was unstoppable. I'm just curious as to which games you've seen him play in that's all.
Seems like Warrington did a decent job on Farrimond too. I believe it was Ratchford that come on and changed the game.
I'm going on Sunday, should be a really good game.

Forgot about Wingfield.
Walmsley return combined with Byrne missing for the rest of the year may have swung momentum back to saints.
Can’t remember the last time we beat saints with Walmsley playing.

Was that the game a player actually had a season ending injury?

| LMS to retire at the end of the year, as a Wigan fan, he’s been an outstanding signing for saints, a player everyone loves to hate but would’ve liked to have on their team, all the best to him. But just hope he bows out as a runner up and nothing more

Didn’t play.
Nor did he in the CC semi last year or the DW game last year.
He’s a massive in for saints.
