Officially he still owns 25% when you google Mike Danson and us.
Unless you've heard different.

| I think it would be fantastic news for the town if Danson gets Latics and is then on a course to owning both clubs at some point. People can like it or not but both clubs need each other and the constant issues at Latics don’t help the rugby club. We need somebody with both clubs interests at heart to take things forward.

| Yes, surely only the most knuckle-headed of Latics fans would object.
Oh...

| Just been down to get a ticket for the Wire game, office open, lady at the desk said they were just turning up day by day.
Hope for their sakes this gets sorted, must be an awful position to be in

There will be some and they can go and take a running jump. I’d love to think a takeover by Danson could clear out some empty headed dead wood from the Latics fan base and start a new era.
A pipe dream maybe but it shouldn’t be.

| To be fair there'll be a few on our side as well, "Why's he spending all this money on them, should be signing Nathan Cleary...."
The fact we're in a salary capped sport will blissfully pass them by, one of the Warriors fb groups I'm on has been mortifyingly awful these past few weeks

| To be fair, we could sign Nathan Cleary using the marquee rule.

| Clock's ticking, on Latics Speak it's saying HMRC have put a winding up order in scheduled for end of July
Edit, winding up petition, not clued up on this stuff but it's apparently the stage before a winding up order

I'd rather have Moses...

| As long as the first time he bursts through the line and scores against Saints is described as 'The parting of the Red Vee'

| Wigan Athletic: HMRC lodges winding-up petition against League One club
By Simon Stone
BBC Sport
Last updated on16 minutes ago16 minutes ago.
From the sectionWigan
His Majesty's Revenue & Customs has lodged a winding-up petition against Wigan Athletic over unpaid tax bills, with a hearing date of 26 July.
It follows the English Football League placing the Latics under a transfer embargo last week for breaching league rules on tax payment.
Wigan will begin the League One season after relegation with an eight-point deduction for late payment of salaries.
It also understood money is outstanding from last month's salary payments.
The club has said it is in the process of being sold but one of the interested parties, 21-year-old businessman Sarbjot Johal, failed to gain EFL approval for his proposed purchase of Morecambe earlier this year.
Winding-up petitions can be resolved by payment of debt or by arrangement of a payment plan with the creditor, in this case HMRC itself.

| Hopefully Danson or someone else comes up with a solution that has Wigan RL owning the stadium and the rugby club finds itself in a position to drive revenues and profits up rather than being left with an expensive off-season without any soccer rent.
Not too bothered what happens to Latics, but hope there is an outcome that works for WRL.
