29281_1270406980.jpg When Maurice sold me to Leeds something changed, it just not the same, the passion inside me just wasn’t the same as running out at Central park for my hometown club.
We need a change of culture here; we don’t want to be just happy with playing ok on Saturday at St Helens.
Ill make sure that from now on things will change, that players will be under pressure and will train a lot harder than they have before.

39110_1363272058.jpg Dropkick Murphy..we actually saw and heard a mass of bouncing and scarf and flag waving to Dale Cavese that drowned out anything we could muster.. It stopped us singing our own celebratory songs, it died out seconds later when we accepted we couldn't be heard over the Wigan lot
Celebrations muted from us, job done from them. Most fans who slag them off are jealous their own club's support is nowhere near that good
-
sally cinnamon..Why not discuss Wigan? It's a rugby league message board. Wigan are the most famous brand in rugby league
-
Tre Cool..Saints fans are hopeless unless it's a cup final or grand final. Wigan fans are so much more loyal and passionate
-
the flying biscuit..Wires havent been massively succesful over the years, but I've spoke to Brian Bevan And he spoke to me and i wouldnt swap that for Wigans History, ever
-
Ande..on the TV i could only hear the Wigan fans with about 10 to go

If Leeds can, so CAN we.
Like Rogues said, if the Marketing team get on it then surely we can do it.
Stop being so negative.

I ain't being negative i'm being [sizerealistic[/size, theres nothing more I would love to see than 25K Wiganers in the ground but what you'll get is 16K plus a couple of thousand neutrals winding us all up.
Probably been done to death now this ticket pricing issue, Ive put my case forward, lets see what happens come Feburary.

I don't think its Wigan's event to market. It's all up to the RFL?

| This is what Wigan RLFC marketing should do1) Will give "real" (those who regularly buy ST's) fans the chance to purchase the final tickets at a reasonable price, thus realising a much larger gate....hopefully a sell-out.
2) Gives the Wigan RLFC season ticket some additional 'added value' to it's current offer.......it may just sway an extra few thousand who are currently undecided to part with their cash (especially over the excellent 4 payment scheme) for a season ticket and increase them to 12k+.
Two birds one stone....!!!

Maybe so, but surely Wigan could stand the difference if it meant increased ST's.
Not Wigan's event to market? Since when has the RFL marketed anything??
They couldn't sell water in a desert them fookers!

| I'd be very suprised regardless of pricing if this game didn't sell out.
From my own point of view if the game had been in Australia I was ready to price it up and do my upmost to make it over there so £40 for the best seats in the house will be one heck of a snip!!!
I know we don't have 25,000 people of a similar mindset but still.

I can't see many people forking out hundreds on a season ticket who won't already to save a few quid on a WCC ticket.

Then let's not bother then eh? Sounds like a RFL comment to me.
Why not anyway? We have a regular 4 - 6k people who will currently gladly pay £18-22 per home match.
For an Adult South Stand Season Ticket - £201, £60 deposit then 3 x £60 payments every other month.
These are the supporters we should be aiming for, by giving additional value (such as money off a WCC ticket) to the ST it makes it more attractive and 'might' just persuade a few to migrate over. Once they do, then they benefit from the Renewal price next November....and so on.

Fully agree. We've shown in the attendances that the support is out there to increase the 'core' support of current STH. We'll get an inevitable boost on the back of the Grand Final, but the club has 2 main challengest o firstly attract these supporters into buying, and then to retain them as STHs.
If we add 1500 STH this year, that's in excess of 250k revenue given to the club up front.

If in this instance an "RFL comment" is one based on some rational economic argument - guilty as charged. A season ticket is already enough value in terms of savings it gives to make it attractive and hoover up those who want one. A few quid saving on a WCC ticket is unlikely to put on one extra sale, nevermind 2,000. In any case it's an RFL event and tickets will go through them.

| Why would Wigan spend a fortune on marketing when they dont even get the money from tickets sales? Its an RFL event and they are the ones who will market it (well of you can call it that).
