| Quote: Jimofwigan "Thank you for been to ashamed to spell out all the explitives. It shows that you to know it is also wrong to use them. You know it would not be printed on this site because they are not acceptable. The tape they play every match asking politely for the crowd not to use Foul racist and abusive language is supported by nearly all the Wigan fans. The few that suggest this is not a family club that does not welcome the children and that you can use bad language to express themselves are in the minority.Just stick to the code of conduct this club is proud to brodcast at every home match'" He didn't spell them because there is a swear filter on here and you sir need to get thicker skin nothing anyone can do about it

Go on, admit it, you're Gary Schofiled!! ....................Don't let the RFL hear you utter such cliche's!

You are allowed your own point of view and have been allowed to express it on this thread just as I have expressed mine so it is not clear who you are choosing to disrespect.

| Swearing is in all sports, all teams and cannot be stopped. All kids hear bad language everywhere movies, friends, parents etc... The only thing I wouldn't like to hear at games is racism and I never do at rugby.

No it isn't in all sports and not all kids hear bad language. Perhaps we should all start murdering people? It has been happening for years, lots of people do it and cannot be stopped!

| Are you really comparing swearing to murder??
All kids do hear swearing, whether you like it or not. Whether it's other kids, in the playground, on TV, movies, music, at sporting events, in pubs and restaurants, on the street, on buses, in town centres, at parties, even at weddings. There is no way on earth that you can shield and protect your children from ever hearing or seeing anything you consider to be bad, and what about when they get older? You can't control the things that they see, hear and do. Wish people would stop being so bloody mard!!!

Pointing is rude you know, no need for it at the rugby

| Maybe swearing doesn't create an atmosphere, all I know is that at the HJ we play a similar tape before a game, and we have a woman who looks over the south stand like big brother and the slightest hint of a swear word or if you've instigated a song they don't like the sound of doorman type bouncers (not match stewards) turf you out 8/10 times. Now the HJ is worse than old Trafford for atmosphere, but yes maybe chants such as 'come on everyone' and 'we're quite upset because the ref doesn't like us and he's dead mean' would create the intense atmosphere we all enjoy...

dont analyse my post to suit............point is.........theres an announcement made that its a family sport and racist and obscene chants are unacceptable ?
maybe i put the point over badly, but it still remains that some people cant accept the rules and want to challenge authority......i call then yobs if they do it outside a rugby ground..so what do we call then inside a rugby ground?............................exactly................yobs

| Trouble is it's socially acceptable to swear nowadays, pqrticulary the younger generation. Kids will hear far worse in the play ground so I wouldn't get too wound up over a rugby game.

| lets face it some of the chants are funny from whoever sings them, and sometimes the foul langauge adds to the humour, and although i would prefer it if the kids didnt hear them, thats life now unfortunatly dont make it right but thats the world we live in
