| and another point is how they can say Leeds have an A grade stadium is beyond me maybe they should try standing in the pooring rain one night.
I also feel that somewhere in the licensing agreement there should be an encouragement to clubs to try and improve their away following as we have seen at Wigan this year even some of the so called 'A' grade clubs dont have strong away following and as been said n this forum before away fans make the atmosphere and much needed revenue for clubs and is very important in the success of super league.

| Wakefield have gotten through by the skin of their teeth, and if this isn't the kick up the backside they needed to sort themselves out I dont know what is. Hopefully come 2014 all of the clubs in the SL are in a much better position along with 4 or 5 strong applications from the Championship.

The RFL love Headingley for some reason. Never a grade A stadium in a million years with that away stand. Nice to see several teams moving up a grade though, Saints should be an A team next time around and Salford, hopefully Cas and Wakey should all be in new stadia by then.

| In three years Catalans may have their third new stand open, that will be some ground and a great atmosphere.
Leeds as an A grade is laughable. Open terracing and parts of the south stand still barricaded off as being unsafe!
All that work over months by the RFL then Crusaders bin it in the last 24 hours.
Were they persuaded to withdraw or did they take the RFL by surprise? That's what I'd like to know?

It comes down to more than just stadia and for that reason salford will never be an A grade.

Sorry that was badly worded, I was meaning Saints should be A grade. Separate point - Salford will have a new stadium. Realistically at the minute you would say only Saints and Hudds (Catalans maybe?) could join the 4 current A teams.

Explains all my ! Didn't tell us anything we didn't already know! In what way was Wakefield's application stronger than Halifax's? That's what everyone wants to know right now. He also says that Crusaders took the decision to withdraw in consultation with the RFL. Sounds a bit fishy to me. Didn't anyone think that the Crusaders players should have known that this might have happened before today? Shambolic stuff

| It's a very, very strange situation, but Crusaders did become irrelevant once they moved from South Wales. Did they jump, or were they pushed? That's the question. I wouldn't be surprised if they fold and the RFL tried again to establish a welsh team.
As for the rest: Quins should never go - if anything we should have another London club to jump on the bandwagon. How far away are the Skolars from the Quins?
Also, all this talk of Halifax/Wakefield etc, what's the point? They're all the same - small northern towns that won't improve SL. How about taking another chance and promoting Toulouse? Huge city, helps the game expand further in France, and gives Catalan a rival.

It meets the criteria for a Grade A stadium.

16304_1526976105.jpg [size=100:2md8k3b3][b:2md8k3b3]'Do you remember when we had that meeting in Orlando? We talked about how we were knocked out the previous year by Leeds. And at the end, I asked you one question. "Do you want to be a semi-final team? Or do you want to do something special?" You all said you wanted to win. But talking is easy – it needed you to believe. It needed you to work hard – harder than you had – and make sacrifices. You did all that. you worked for each other. You stuck together when it was tough. And because of your efforts, you sit here tonight as champions. I'm proud of you. Be proud of yourselves. You've done something special.'

| Players at Crusaders seem pretty ed off...
Ryan O'Hara:
"First they steal £100,000 off me, now they withdraw from SL to sleaze out of paying me. Fuck you crusaders owners you will get yours."
On another note... £100k!? I thought RL players were earning peanuts.

Or another one in France. If today has taught us anything its that letting in "new" clubs before they are ready doesnt work. Crusaders shouldnt have been put in SL last time around. If things had been done properly they could have had three years down in Bridgend competing in the Championship and then had the possibility of being considered this time around. They were rushed in, had to move to north wales, bought loads of aussies and journeymen, offered very little to the comp., brought in hardly any speccies, werent making any money and ultimately wont be a SL team after this year.
