Unforunately Joe is injured. I agree with Rogues,this Wigan team has got talent. They blitzed a reasonably experienced Saints reserve side in the reserve grade grand final. They have also been through a real tough pre season as if they were first team regulars. They have something to prove. Contrast this with a second rate team such as Leigh many players in their team would play anywhere they could get a contract.Don't forget Leigh were destined for NL2 until they got a late repreive by the very regime at the rugby league they were castigating the week previously for allowing a French team to remain in the league even though they new the rules beforehand. There are some tough kids in this Wigan team and I think this game will be really competitive and much closure than the Leythers think.

Really looking forward to seeing the young guns 2m heard lots of things about a number of players charnley,vievers etc should be very interesting come on wigan

given our notoriously poor starts id go with the same 20-23 players who will be in contention for round one as i will against wire in a few days. no harm in giving them a run out to build up match fitness. understand arguments about injury risk but for me its woth the risk if we win first 3 games rather than lose them. momentum is something we only usually get in last 6 rounds. imagine if we had it in first 6 and onwards...

There has been a lot of moaning about the Wigan team selection. I have looked on their official site and as far as I can see Leigh have not named their team yet.

Has anyone seen it?

We are trying to find enough fit players at present, expect debuts for local lads Hopkins(East) Nicholson and Pownall (Miners).
Should be a great game, with 2 evenly matched sides and your big guns coming on to make a difference.
East v Judes 16's in cup at East before game btw, Judes top of that league, Easts mid table.

So now your telling us that Leigh have not yet named a squad, and all we have heard is that Wigan have disrespected the fixture.
Wigans bench is full of 16,17 and 18 year olds all making their first team debut.
