Agree with pretty much what you say but I thought Roberts was dreadful last night (at fault for two tries.) So not really convinced about him at all.

I've been a supporter of Riddell's throughout the year - I don't think he's deserved some of the treatment he's had. However, I have to say he really disappointed me last night. I expected more.

Amen to that. He did seem to be going through the motions at times.

It does frustrate me with Roberts I know a former coach said of him he was the sort of player to lounge about and 'smoke a few cigars' and when its contract time he then turns it on.

I have seen flashes of brilliance this year from Roberts but like me most of the fans made their mind up about the team after the Wakefield game first game of the season e.g Roberts, Mathers and Riddell.

Note to Ian Lenaghan: Give Amos Roberts weekly contracts starting on Monday afternoons.

He's not been as bad as made out for the majority of this season but he was poor last night. It was our biggest game of the season and when we needed him to stand up and take them on he just seemed happy enough to go through the motions and just distribute simple ball from dummy half.

I think that, as fans, we are entitled to vent our feelings about players after disappointments like yesterday.

Mark Riddell has thus far been a very poor signing for Wigan. I don't know what the problem is, but players who do well in the NRL and don't in SL have generally come over expecting a holiday, and that can be a difficult mindset to break.

Some of the antipodean posters on here warned us about both Roberts and Riddell pre season. Unfortunately they've been proved right in the main.
They have to improve for next year.

I would of loved to have been a fly on the wall when IL met Noble after the game. You said what before I read the offical statement written before the cas game (just in case).

He keeps saying that word again "Business". To him we are a business to us Wigan RLFC is a way of life. I don't like the word business being used in rugby chat. Leave that talk for in the boardroom.

I don't agree(trust) with much that Lenagan comes out with alot of the time but fair play to him for his honesty on last nigths preformence. He said that we played 'ok' and thats about as good as it was. It was a game there for the taking and we came up short yet again.

I wasn't one in the camp of being 'proud' or 'pleased' with the preformence last night. The effort and guts may have been there but we just didn't play well enough to deserve the win.
