When Maurice sold me to Leeds something changed, it just not the same, the passion inside me just wasn’t the same as running out at Central park for my hometown club.
We need a change of culture here; we don’t want to be just happy with playing ok on Saturday at St Helens.
Ill make sure that from now on things will change, that players will be under pressure and will train a lot harder than they have before.

hmm having lived in Skem for 23 years I still see a lot more wigan shirts out and about than I do Latics shirts, the vast majority of football fans I know locally are Liverpool or Everton fans and its pretty rare that I see any other shirts around the town. I see too many Wigan shirts around though, and this seems to have increased in the past 5 years for some reason.
I know of one of two people who support other clubs but have latics season tickets are they are easier to get/cheaper but thats about it.

Have to agree with this, I live in the Old Town at Skem, and have never seen a Latics shirt anywhere, with the depth of Liverpool and Everton feeling and support here, they would be too embarrased maybe to put their colours on, and I reckon I can understand that!!!!!

It came from a quote by Dave Swanton, now of Stockport Union, who used to be employed by Wigan Rugby. He was quoted in the Manchester Evening News as saying "Wigan is turning blue",
It coincided with him not getting the media managers job at Wigan when Mo returned, not that he was bitter or anything.
