I haven't been as excited about a player since Sean Edwards. He also gave a very good interview after the match, not for the first time. Let the know nowts run him down. We have a gem here and he's our gem. Hopefully for a long time to come.

If Trent was still here, there's no way Noble would have played Tomkins. His hand was forced playing him even with Tim Smith here.

If Wire are willing to offer £200,000 or something like that for Myler then Tomkins must be worth about £500,000 if anybody wanted to offer. Atm he would walk into any SL side and should be playing stand-off for england in the 4 nations.

Tomkins is the sort of talent we've been looking for ever since Kris Radlinski retired. He's just sublime every time he catches the ball. I cannot wait to see how his career (at Wigan!) pans out - you see so much "Shaun Edwards" in him.

That sort of individual preformence has been coming from Sam for a good few weeks. He's been immense for us and is always a threat but the amount of times he just gets pulled down on the halfbreak is huge but tonight they couldn't touch him.

It was an outstanding preformence from a potential world class player.

As for all the sniping he gets from opposition fans..............keep it coming.
