Really don’t see the big issue with people saying that a young player looks to be potentially world class or looked like something special.

They have hardly been disproved wrong.

Of course people are entitled to opinions, but the lad hadn't played a game.

He played in the derby, I understand it was one game but at a time when things were looking grim he stood out for some people and I think people were genuinely excited by his potential.

Correct….and I have yet to see anyone describe him as world class.

If you're signing him as KPP's replacement, then that's a mistake. He's not an edge forward. He's a middle forward. His lateral movement isn't quick enough for 2nd row.

I think they’ll be open minded but I fully expect that he’ll settle in to a role at prop here. We’ve played with mobile second rowers, who do 60,70,80 mins, for the best part of 15 years now (and probably longer thinking on) and I don’t see that changing. I’d be more inclined to think that we’ll see Tiaki Chan in the second row.

He is a better player than KPP

Both Walters and Chan are props and appear to be replacements for Singleton and Mago. As far as a replacement for KPP I don't know. There are rumours that we still have two players incoming but who they are and their positions is not known. At present we have back rowers such as Farrell, Isa, Shorrocks, Smithies KPP and latterly Nsemba. KPP is leaving and isa'a status for next year isn't known.

Agree we won't use Walters as a back rower unless of dire need.

To be fair. Everytime I’ve seen him play he has been half decent. Similar size and build as George Delaney just not as good. However. If you listen to the Leeds fans he’s not good enough for their 17??? I would definitely have him at saints as our 5th choice prop/project prop as there is some raw talent there
