Lads did us proud again against a (pretty much) full strength Saints side.

Will be tough to back up on Monday but we have an extra day off at least. Forsyth will probably be out so Isa at centre (sigh).

Unbelievable defence at times. Few questions after it though such as not taking a numbe of two points and Tierney, freshest player on the field but looking way off what is expected of what is now an experienced player. Season is being ruined by the number of players out.

And:
- Awful 5th tackle attacking plays, especially kicks
- Isa yet again giving stupid penalties away
- Inability to defend kicks (3 of their 4 tries)
- Inability to cope when Lockers goes off the pitch
- Williams trying to do everything on his own

Was surprised ref never asked to look at the knock on for me. Only saw it once front on but it looked like Morgan touched it, it hit Marshall then he regathered. Only a tiny one but looked like a knock on to me may be wrong. Nothing wrong with last try. To the letter of the law I guess you could say it was interference but in a game scinario try all day.

Lack of experience at big moments is costing us at the moment but the only way you get that experience is by making mistakes and learning from them. Tonight's big issue was poor gave management.

Big positive no injuries of note.

Still confident we will be there of there abouts for SL, Cup may be a bridge too far whilst we get players back.

I thought our defence at times was outstanding and although I hate losing to saints tonight I think we will learn for future years which helps the pain of losing a game that we could have won.
I agree with almost all of your comments with perhaps the one about Williams being the most pertinent tonight. He will learn and will become the best player in SL.

Losing to saints usually ruins my weekend however, tonight I'm made up with our effort and in the knowledge we can get better and that Saints probably can't.
A good game just the wrong result.

3 tries from kicks was awful. Tierney ain't good enough I'm afraid.

McIlorum and O'Loughlin were incredible.

Hopefully next few weeks we get Gildart/Bateman and Sam back.

Not being negative but the top 4 ain't a gimme.
I thought we wouldn't win a game in May and I still think that.
Lack of props and a proper fullback could be our Achilles heel.
If we get the 4th spot I wouldn't rule us out but I'm not totally convinced we will make the 4 primarily due to injuries which would be a pity as the attitude tonight in particular is spot on and with a few back we would certainly stir things up a bit.

I agree with you to a point, but there is absolutely no way we can drop Marshall. Tonight was the first real mistake he's made, and he got absolutely no ball as we seemed obsessed with going to the right and targeting Grace.

Marshall is our top try scorer, and when you look at the tried he's scored, most of them aren't walk ins like Eden gets. His 2nd and 3rd try against Warrington were entirely self made.

Just too many injuries - Odsall has been a triage centre all season.
