| See that's where you are a saints fan and I a Wigan one the off side on half time isn't you can't move the line if the balls dropped in front and picked up behind which it was how can it be??
Come on you can honestly say you thought Dorns was a try .... Please... even Don knew it wasnt.
Webster Manfredi is the only one that I can nearly agree with though like you I'm maybe just a little tiny bit biased.

| Dorn probably gave himself up and it probably wasn't a try- but the fact is the on field ref gave it as a try and from no angle did I see conclusive proof to overturn the decision .
Either way - as a Saints fan I have far bigger things to worry about at the moment - starting with Saturday afternoon

| Quote yogi bear="yogi bear"Id like to see it again to be 100% but off top of my head.
1 Before Wigan's second try - should've been a drop out to Cas.
2 Bateman gets a penalty for sitting on top of and slapping the tackling man.
3 no conclusive evidence to overturn refs decision on the Dorn no try (not refs fault)
4 wigan player picked up the knock on in offside position on stroke of half time - led to sin binning ( despite what Cummins says)
5 Manfredi blatantly lost the ball in to touch trying to wrestle free - given as a ball steel.
The list goes on and on'" Ref criticism always makes me laugh. Lots of fans say that the ref is wrong or one sided when most fans don't understand the rules. When your players are getting sin binned for arguing and making the mistakes the referee isn't affecting the outcome.

| I like Solomona, he's an exciting player and a fantastic finisher, but if a Wigan player had done that much housing the forum would be in meltdown. Don't know what his problem was with Sam.

You do know, don't you, that to score a try you have to get the ball on or over the line?
Come back when you're learned the game.

| People just don't know the rules, it's ridiculous.
Like the Powell try, he wasn't offside because there was no Cad player trying to catch the ball - the rule is if the offside player is within 10m of the defending catcher - then the ball goes through Gildart putting him onside.

Quote Cherry_Warrior="Cherry_Warrior"Just utterly pathetic. After every game we play. Only seeing what they want to see. Could be worse. We could be them, no future, crap players, badly coached and jealous of your local rivals.

Go easy on them. Remember that all they have to talk about is how crap Cunningham and their team is.

Yeah, I suppose falling short and then knocking on is not very conclusive is it? We need more evidence than that to disallow a try against Wigan.

Didn't Cas get favourable Video decision a few weeks ago at home against Salford where the ball was conclusively from all angles lost about six inches above the try line, despite this Silverwood gave the try. Quite simply the worst video ref decision I have ever seen. I looked for Powell's post match comments about this and couldn't find any mention of it. That 'try' gave Cas the momentum to go on and win the game.
Swings and roundabouts, suck it up buttercup!

| I think the amount of penalties Cas got when they were stuck un their own half disproves any theories about Thaler being biased in any way.
Of all the try/ no try decisions Suttons was the one hardest done by.
Right from the start Gale and Solomona were mouthing off to the ref well before any decisions were made. If that's their starting point it's only going to go downhill from there.
One thing no one mentioned yet which is strange considering the flack Farrell got for a similar incident. When Charnley scored, the defender went in with his knees to put him in touch. No attempt to make a tackle, straight in with the knees - strange other teams fans aren't frothing at the mouth over it.

I actually thought that the worst video reffing decision I've seen in a long and chequered history of poor video ref decisions. I wondered if that might be the one that would break the camel's back with regard to this daft 'try on the field or no try on the field' rule, which adds nothing whatever to to the game but yet again manages to turn our officials into rule-begirt automatons with no will of their own.
The fact that fans from - surprise, surprise! - St Helens thought that 'try on the field' decision last night should have gone to Cas even though the replay plainly showed that it wasn't a try, says it all about a certain kind of RL mentality.
