You have to wonder what the clause in his contract looks like? If Wigan have first refusal then surely that's the end of it? I can't imagine the clause would say Wigan have first refusal but if another club offers better wages then Wigan lose first refusal! The terms must surely be already agreed (or proposed) in principle as part of the clause! I'd guess the only way he'd not end up at Wigan is if he went to yawnion!
