Did you report it to a steward at the time? Or have you reported it to the club since? Why don't you do us all a favour and get the idiots banned rather than getting your own "swift justice"?

The 2 stewards were a middle aged woman and a fella in his early sixties who claimed never to have done the job before,you either seem to get the likes of them or the the "sia" licenced thugs at the saints,so the only path open to me is doing it my way unfortunately,maybe if the police werent obsessed with filming the home supporters and had some in the away end this would have been dealt with on the night,by the time the police were seen they had disapeared like the cowards they are.

Anyone there on Friday night who clapped the team after that "performance" have incredibly low expectations of a professional sports team.

2nd best in all departments and facets of the game with some of the usual suspects unable to keep their discipline or stop their brain farts. Pub team stuff.

I clapped them for putting their bodies on the line for our entertainment. Particularly as they have short careers and aren't paid very well compared with football or rugby union. They were also taking dogs abuse from some of our 'fans' to be honest. I'm a Wigan supporter whether we are winning a final against Saints or getting tonked in the league by Castleford

Mate, I'm really sorry to hear that, as there's no excuse for ever threatening fans (ours or others).

That type of "fan" can absolutely bugger off - Although not to football, as than I might have to put up with them on my occasional visit to Anfield.

I do agree with Wigg'n though, as these type of morons are best left to the stewards, due to their inability to do anything individually - You're more than likely to end up with all of their drunk little friends joining in. (Although if you do manage to collar them, just do it quietly, leave no marks and try to stop when they cry for their Mum).

You seem to love having a go at the club (do you ever even post after we win?). Why not pull on a shirt, declare yourself both coach and captain and show them all how it's done? Expecting a win shows the mixture of entitlement and arrogance that annoys lots of fans of other clubs and giver Wigan fans a bad name. I'll never forget being in the second division - a salutary reminder of the ups and downs of fate. Take the defeat on the chin - it's a part of sport.

Saints were beaten by the same scoreline on three or four occasions last year and ended up the season as Champions, so lets not get ahead of ourselves here. Yes there are problems, and it would appear lots of them, but there is never an excuse for booing your own team.

I'd qualify that with "unless they are so abject, apathetic, lazy & careless as to deserve every bit opprobrium heaped on them". I'm going back about 10 years but the only time I've felt so angry towards the team was at home with Giants when they really were that bad.
