Same with us, a group of 4 people turned up and produced identical tickets to ours. Thankfully they were reasonable people and went to discuss it with the Stewards.

Shocking from the RFL to get something as basic as ticketing wrong.

He clearly has a problem with some of us on here. I notice in his retraction (something he is forced to do quite a bit) that you didn't get the apology despite being the thread author. I simply don't respond to him any more, and life is a bit more beautiful as a result.

My family and I where in Block E230 Row 22, seats 71-76.....the problem we had was that seats numbered 73-76 didnt even exist!!! We collared a steward and he said to sit in any seats on our row. I explained that this would cause issues later and he said to send them to him if it did. Any way angry man turns up later, not happy we were sat in his seats (rightly so), sent him to the steward, steward sits him some other seats, 10 mins later and this guy has someone in his face re the seats!!! Not good enough, more pee'd off the fact we were sold tickets from the Wigan ticket office, that were phantom seats!! What would have happened if the game was a sellout?? Where would we have sat?? Again when you queue up for hours and get your tickets, only thing you should then have to worry about is getting there!!!

I was in your block too row 19 it nearly got angry with some people getting really annoyed hence the bouncers present and the 2 coppers.

Sounds like it was on par with the fiasco of getting a train home from Victoria!

I was in e230 as well, I got on 20 mins before KO and saved 7 seats for our group as there was already folk sat in them and the stewards mumbling something about ticket master. Fortunately a combination of some pretty foul trumps after a pre-match session on the real ale and a steward stood on the end of the row kept our pews til everyone showed up but it looked a mess in general.

I got my tickets via the Wigan web site off Ticket Master and was asked by someone was I in the right seat so I assume they had duplicates for ours. Being an IT person all I can say is ticket master must have a totally rubbish booking system designed and implemented by a bunch of rank amateurs if they can't avoid the double booking scenario.

Bring back the terraces

I emailed a complaint to the rfl this morning as I experienced the same incident. 20mins we had to stand up as no seat was available. I have now received a refund on my tickets.
What a slack setup !!
