| A lot of people swinging against Sam? For what it's worth he's the finest British talent I've seen in a Wigan shirt along with Andy Greg and Bill Ashurst.

| It's very difficult to compare players from such different eras due to us now being full time with much better training and playing methods. For example I've been watching highlights from all the 8 in a row games in the build up to Wembley, and at times the ball goes as far as 10 metres back on a play, today's defences would surely move up as a line and they would lose that territory. That's only from 20 years back as well. However, from the time I've been watching (since '01)
1. Radlinski
2. Dallas
3. Renouf
4. Carmont
5. Richards
6. S.Tomkins
7. Barrett
8. Fielden (2006)
9. Newton
10. A.Farrell
11. Hock
12. Hoffman
13. O'Loughlin
14. Leuluai
15. O'Connor
16. Paleaaesina (2006)
17. J.Tomkins
I'd like to see Craig Smith and David Furner again now I'm older, got a feeling they would probably get in ahead of Feka and J.Tomkins

| Quote Nnibly_Warrior="Nnibly_Warrior"Not much point in me doing this, as I'm only 25, but Rads was my favourite player growing up and I'd pick him over Sam for his defence alone. I often remember Radders coming out of absolutely nowhere to stop certain tries and take the would be try scorer from plonking the ball down in the corner to nigh sitting in the stands!
[uHowever my Dad has always said in his opinion Gary Connolly was the best full back we ever had.[/u'"
I also though Connolly was a better fullback that Radlinski. When he went to Leeds late on in his career they played him at FB.

| Strange that no-ones mentioned the points machine we're about to lose, Pat Richards. Or that other points machine, Frano Botica.
Sorry Grimmy, you [udid[/u include Paddy

| The guy that spoke about Richards and Botica points machine. It is all about personal preference and the best players in my opinion.

| The best Wigan team performance I have ever witnessed was the Wembley win against Hull in 1959. Hull had arguably the most formidable pack in the league and were in top form but were hammered 6 tries to 1 by the Wigan side.
I came from Australia to see Hull beaten by Wigan for the second time in 1985 in the best Challenge Cup Final I have seen at Wembley - seen 20, the first in 1950.
Unfortunately will not get to this one but will be watching it live from midnight Sat here in Aus.

Henry Paul is very unfortunate to miss out but you can't break that Edwards/Gregory partnership and Dean Bell can't not be in your 17. He could cover the back line and also the back row and lets face it was hard as nails.
