John Ferguson was also devastating.
Not so much his speed, but he was almost unique in that he was at top speed in one step. Just check him out for his first try at Wembley in 1985.
We need speed like this 20 out from our opponents try line, not 10 yards from or even behind our own try line.
Hampshire (and Sam Tomkins) could win a match playing up front near the oppositions line rather than trying to run the full length of the field.
