Its a rule the ozzies implemented so we had to follow, if we didn't we'd be penalised 10 times a match in the world cup. They also ban players for it, so Briers in ozzie terms would be banned for his hit

It is a silly rule that is not enforced half of the time, making it too much a point of argument. No one wants to see players getting hurt, but I don’t think this rule helps. A shoulder charge done in the right manner, with no head contact, is no more dangerous than any other way of stopping a player’s progress.

If only there were a medium we could use to debate the rules and regulations of our game. The pros and cons of such. Something like a public 'Forum'. If only such a place existed, where people of like minded interests could debate without sarcastic comments and people telling them to Move On. One day, eh? One day...

Theres not much to debate. The rules have changed. Shoulder charges are banned whether people like it or not. Or am I missing something?

The fact it is a recent change indicates that rules are open to change, therefore opinions and debate about what the rules should be are welcome.
