No contrived priority ticketing schemes are likely to increase attendances. ATEOTD, those who can afford to attend will and those who can't wont, simple as that. I actually think RL fans are very lucky that we have relatively cheap ticket prices compared to a lot of other sports.

out of curiosity, anyone know what the attendances were across the clubs when the RFL were giving away 4th round tickets a couple of years ago? did it make a difference?

The prices are too high, even at £14 for ST holders. £10 would be a fair price to pay for cup games, as every game beyond the round you enter is a bonus for the club, and every home draw is an even bigger bonus.

At £10 a head, there may have been a 10,000+ crowd on Friday.

Well I paid £14 for three tickets (2 x ST holder kids) today which I think is a very fair deal indeed.

I am bringing 3 Man City fans on Friday and they are very surprised how cheap it is to watch a RL Cup tie between Wigan and one of the games biggest names.

How peed off are they going to be when they find out you've mislead them and it's not Good Friday?

They are coming because they enjoy the atmosphere at RL games'not just at the game' but before and after too.

Would have had a bigger attendance if the game was on Sunday, i doubt Leigh will bring as many as foretold .
