| Really feel sorry for him and fear this could stop him fulfilling his potential. He's dislocated his shoulder three times in less than four years (not sure if it has been the same shoulder every time). This is obviously a weakness which will only get worse the more times it happens. It was his right shoulder that he did in the CC Final, was it his right shoulder that he did yesterday?
I'm sure he's had shoulder surgery at least once as well so hopefully it isn't the one he's had surgery on.

This has got to be a wind-up.
Are you saying you'd have released Mossop because he had a shoulder injury in the past?

not quite sure where i said i would release mossop? the fact remains prescott is a liability and Mossop has had shoulder issues and as others have said once they go they go often, and therefore we should be better covered in those positions hence letting Fielden go was a mistake. i dont think this is a case of hindsight it has been said preseason and during this season we are light up front and now we are really light and will have to rely on kids to pull us through. That is Wanes fault we should have had more seasoned props available. I am all for using the kids but it should be integration around seasoned professional as we could now see promising talent broken and all confidence knocked out of them. i really hope i am wrong and they do us proud but it should not be left on their shoulders to do so.

| been looking into your squad as we are playing you guys next week... seems to be decimated by nijuries.
Speaking as a fan of a club with a small squad every year, you have my sympathy, and welcome to our world.
On the plus side, you'll still approach the Cas game as a likely win, and will give your younger lads some great game time.
see you sunday

I'm just not sure how many squad places you can reserve for props on the off-chance a lot of them will get injured.
I certainly agree with you about Prescott, and I don't expect that he'll be a Wigan player after his current contract expires. When players are always injured, you've got to start considering that maybe they aren't up to the rigours of rugby league.
But we've also got Mossop (not the same shoulder, apparently), Lauaki, Taylor, Dudson, Flower and Crosby, with Tuson to back up at prop if need be. It seems ridiculous to try and argue that we started the season without sufficient front row forwards. Okay, I'd sooner have Lima in there too, but that wasn't to be.

How can you argue about Prescott and ignore the fact that Fielden managed two games in two years? I would have liked us to sign an experienced prop and was a big fan of Fieldens, but realistically it would have been too big a risk to give him a two year contract, which is what he wanted and got at Huddersfield. If he had been willing to play on a pay as you play contract fair enough but Fielden chose the best deal for himself, quite rightly.

Exactly what I've been saying for 12 months
PS
Pretty sure the 2008 low number was the Detached retina problem season?
PPS
Not sure when his contract is up but I agree if he doesnt finish this season fit with a further 15ish appearances and his contract his up then he is backing himself into a corner.

Watch it back, it's certainly his Right. He did his left in an Academy game a few years back, and needed a reconstruction, if i'm not mistaken?

I dont know why some people look to blame Wane for just about everything. You are saying that Prescott is a liability even though the facts (that is the real facts not your made up one) say differently. You are complaining about Mossop and his shoulder injuries but then say we should have kept Fielden, a player that barely played for 2 years. If you are so keen to reduce the number of players that you see as injury prone then surely Wane did the right thing in releasing Fielden.
