IIRC he reported that Wigan were interested in signing Paul Wood, not that they had. We were interested, so hardly a false report. Prescott has barely played and doesnt often string performances together without being injured. We had potentially 2 very good young forwards in him and O Carroll but both were crocked more than they played. I dont expect him to be a Wigan player very long. Not sure when his contract is up but he'll be hard pressed to get an extension. Its getting to the point where youve got to question how much damage he's doing himself trying to play on when his body clearly isnt up to it.

We seem to have a bit of an injury crisis already this season, Prescott, Hansen, Sam, Lauaki, Tuson, Gelling. Our young squad is really gonna have to front up this season but this experience will be invaluable and set us up with a strong squad for years to come.

Trouble is, he missed all the proper games at the end of last season !!

Think he played 9 games last year and 28 in each of the two previous seasons.
A position that's really attritional and injuries are bound to occur.
Hope he recovers for the second half of the season.

Prescott won't be missed. We have better players available.
Dudson
Mossop
Eric
Burke
Crosby
Taylor.

There's only Mossop and maybe Taylor out of that list who I would say are better players than Prescott.

Well it's a pretty weak bunch either with or without him IMO.

I don't get what people see in Lauaki. To me he is average at best and nowhere near the standard of Mossop, Dudson, Taylor or Prescott.

It's a real shame for Prescott who 'fights well above above his weight'. Yes he does drop the ball due to his impact way of playing. But I like his style.

Some players are though, unfortunately injury prone - seems this lad is one of them.

It's a huge shame for him. For me he's probably our strongest runner now, especially returning kick off's, he doesn't half give it some!

Lets go for Darrell Griffin, Leeds dont want him and he would not go to Salford on loan he is only 30.
