I honestly think that if we dont win Super League this season then it will be a couple more before we do. By losing as much experience as we are I think itll take a couple of years for our replacements/youngsters to become potential title winning players i.e winning big games back to back throughout a playoff series and performing on the big stage. You cant beat experience for that hence Leeds dominance in recent years.
I expect we'll line up something like :-
Sam
Josh
Goulding
Thornley
Paat
Green
Smith
Prescott
Mike Mc
Mossop
Gaz
Hansen
Lockers
Lauaki
Dudsen
Flower
Farrell
Others such as Hughes will get more game time but I dont think he'll replace any of the above. I personally would rather him play instead of Flower as I dont see him as a prop and think Hughes as much more potential to be a world class player.

I'd like us to sign a bench hooker too but I don't know if that cap will stretch. Could be worth playing Logan in the lesser games at least. I think all these 80 minute games are catching up with McIlorum, and we could be in for a nasty surprise if he gets injured and we haven't given Logan enough exposure. As for Tuson, he puts in a lot of effort but I just don't think he's talented enough to ever make it and the game time would be better spent on Hughes. Hope I'm wrong like. |

If I were a Wigan fan, I'd prioritise a secondary hooker. Without that I think there is a heap of pressure on Mickey Mac to stay fit and maybe even play with knocks.

That team is good enough to beat any other in the competition. The true fact is that there are not many good teams about. Outside of Warrington, Leeds and Saints who is likely to finish above us in the league ladder (it's a four team competition)?
As for JH, he is going to be a class act. Unfortunately the RFU and NRL will come calling at some point! |
