RIP - A True Club Legend And a Gentleman

He's been like part of the furniture at Wigan hasn't he. A real sad loss of a bloke that lived for the club.

RIP. He did every role imaginable at this club and had one up on most other players in our history in that he is one of only 14 in our history to have played in and won the BBC 2 Floodlit Trophy!

He played prop, which I can't imagine that, but there ya go.

Random story but I remember him Kicking Tee Running at Leeds about ten years back and p*ssing myself laughing every time he ran on because he was wearing proper baggy black shorts that made him look like he was wearing a skirt!

The guy was an institution at the club. Some of my earliest memories of watching involve him running on with baggy tracksuit bottoms tucked into his socks with a bucket of sand for the kickers.

When he did the physio role, i always remember him running on with a little clear plastic bag with water and sponge, looked more like hed won the goldfish at the fair but something that will awalys remember from the days at CP

Long serving people in any organsiation are hard to come by these days and i would hope the club recognise him in some small way.
