Well he should have a bit more respect for the people on RLFANS most of whom can't spell his name and not go to watch his brother live. He should hate rugby union and everything to do with it just like we do and he should walk round in one of those "100% league 0% union" T-shirts 24/7 with SAM TOMPKINS IS RL on the back.

The sad thing is that if a RL weekly round fixture were held at COMS or OT and tickets were priced at £5 and £10 we'd struggle to get 20,000 to go.

Even if the RU clubs concerned did make a loss, the pulling power of their game compared to us should be a source of embarassment to everyone connected with RL, particularly its management, which has so badly failed the game over the years and continues to do so.

I don't think its particularly embarrassing that RL fans know a quality product when they see one rather than being a set of gullible sheep who will go and watch any old tripe as long as it involves a day out at Twickers.

The problem is, though, that they don't seem to know a quality product when they see one.

With the exception of a few clubs, attendances in SL are very poor. It's even worse in the Cup and in the play-offs (certainly in the early stages).

But overall I blame the RFL. They've never marketed their game as well as the RU, who somehow manage to make a pile of poop look like the most exciting sports spectacle on Earth.
