I'd rather try somewhere different, such as Carcassonne.

Carcassonne is good... for about half an hour. The old walled town is fantastic but small. The town itself is boring and dirty.

I've been to Montpellier twice and had a cracking weekend both times.

I have to say I'm not looking forward to another trip there.

Did anyone see that guy bounce down about 6 rows of seats just after the final hooter last year?

I've only been to Catalan once, and that was two years ago, so i'm not fussed where tbh.

I went to Montpelier foe a couple of nights before Wire played at Perpignan. We had a great time. The public transport is superb, the town is spacious, modern, and clean, and the beaches were excellent. We stayed in an Apart-hotel that was cheap as chips.

Either way, whatever the reason. They got a big crowd there and should try and make it work.

It did make a loss but surely it makes sense to try and expand the game there when so many people went to a game.

The majority of the crowd were from France, then Warrington fans with Barcelonins a distant third. I understand what you're saying but wouldn't it be better to take the game to a city where there's a rugby league following, a rugby league club? Rugby league isn't even played in Barcelona.

Clearly there is a desire for a game when its played in Barcelona. If it could turn a profit then it is definantly worth while. I don't know the figures though.

I thought Montpelier was a great place and really looking forward to going back there. It didn,t help last time with the unseasonal weather and that the Union team had unexpectedly got through to the final in Paris, I am sure this must have affected the crowd. Some great beaches just down the coast and I will be making at least a weeks holiday out of it, maybe even 2!
