I think it's pretty obvious what happened there. He started by giving the sidies a trim, but then he checked the mirror and the left one was a bit longer, so he took a bit more off. But what do you know? Now the right one's a bit shorter, so he took a bit off that..... you see how this ends up.
Either that or Mr Burns was coaching the team that week. |

I wouldn't go so far as to buy a print, as it was a bit heart-breaking as a nipper to see it at the time, but I do look back on that as having been present for one of the great Wembley moments. I watched it again on the Challenge Cup archive on BBC this morning. It's still probably the best try I've ever seen. Even Offiah couldn't quite believe what he'd just done.

A terrible attempt at a tackle by Neil Harmond. It took real quality to 'round' Tate too.
