| I don't think anybody is predicting a certain win, but the way we've been playing, how much it seems to the team and fans there's a reason why we are good favourites but a Leeds win is hardly an upset, just against the odds.

2 hard games against the Rhinos this year and lucky to get the 3 points. You could argue that Wigan played below par in both games or that the Rhinos raised their game considering the poor form and injuries they have carried this year.
If Wigan show up as they have against St George, Saints and Wire then a win should be expected.

| Actually looking forward to this final more than any of the multitude of others I've been lucky enough to attend in the last decade or so. I bought tickets a few months ago for a stag do and I'd have never picked us to make the final. Leeds presence just makes it that much better, especially without any expectations on the result. Leeds choked big time last year, with a side that looked pretty handy at times. This year's side have been a big disappointment and with Wigan looking pretty dominant, I think we're in a good spot as underdogs, albeit with a tinge of confidence after a couple of decent showings v Wigan this year. I'll just be happy if they make a game of it
Also a day to put aside and forget all the bull that's been occuring across the country, esp in London. Nothing quite beats the rugby league fraternity on their big day out. Bring it on

| Warriors will be favourites - someone usually is - but it will be a tough game.
Leeds may have under-performed occasionally this season, but they are still a top side and arguably are a better side on their day than some of the sides ahead of them in the league table.
Looking forward to a good game with hopefully Warriors coming out on top.

| dont the Leeds fans realise that players these days want to play for the champs and play for free?
I heard a rumour that Hoffman wanted to play for Wigan so much this year that he saved up all his previous years wages from the Storm and is actually PAYING to play for us

| I don't think we can read too much into the previous two games this season. The draw we where decimated, we had lockers at 6 an unfit finch and had just come off a gruelling win against hudds and a tough loss at home to wire. At home I feel we where conserving knowing we still had the cas and quins games to come within that week and also had just beat saints and hudds with our two best performances.
I expect leeds to raise their games because its a final and that is dangerous because they have a good side however we seem to have that bit more class about us. I also feel our wigan lads will love being at wembley and will want to write their names in the clubs deep history.
I think wigan will win between 15-20 points and Finchy will get lance todd

| Be a close game for 60 minutes, then Wigan will kick on for the last twenty and win by 10+.

| I think the OP has been taking journalism lessons from The Sun. Pretty much all the Leeds fans with a couple of dim exceptions, have rubbished the original post on that thread.
On the Wembley subject, it should be a great day out. I mentioned on another thread some very happy experiences of the '94 and '95 finals, even though we lost. I even quite enjoyed last year, although the main problem with my day out was having to do it in a rush and thus missing the pre and post match atmosphere (got there 30 minutes before kick-off and got the train straight after clapping Moz with his trophy) rather than the result.
Wigan will be big favourites, and quite rightly so. The Cup means a huge amount to a lot of Leeds players, for whom it is the one gap in their domestic trophy collection (for all the SL rings knocking around I think only JP has won a CC, and that wasn't for Leeds) so I hope that they can overcome the shambles of a season and at least give you a game.
Like McRhino says, the main thing is that RL has it's annual get-together and shows why its fans are the best there are.

| I'm looking forward to the final/weekend. I'm sure it will be a better game than last year although watching leeds get hammered is never a bad thing. what end are you lot in this year.

Leeds in the east, Wigan in the west, I believe.

| Cant see this being anything but a real tough game, Leeds wont want a repeat of last years effort, I've been to Wembley before when we've carried the favourites 'tag' and come unstuck, 63 v Wakefield, the Sheffield disappointment, I believe we can, and will win, but IMO it should be a close game with a late clincher to seal it our way

| I think when you've been caught cheating a few times, people just pay more attention to what the team with priors is up to. As unfair as you feel the questions raised are, you have to accept thats part and parcel of what happens when you try play by your own rules.
ps. you will win the CC and its not close. We have an unbalanced squad, poor gameplans (if we even do have gameplans and while we have a good defence we just dont have the attack to go with it. Wigan by 14+
