There was that documentary 'neighbours from hell' which featured that great big chimney on some factory or other in Haresfinch. The owners announced that they were going to paint the chimney red and white supposedly to reflect their support for Saints.

But in a massive error of judgement, they painted hoops on it! Needless to say, after the TV exposure the owners painted it white again.

Here's my effort, that I did with a felt tip pen:

That was the chimney at Pilkingtons. You could see it for miles. The locals were going crazy.

My grandparents live on Warrington Road (opposite Sainsbury's - other supermarkets are available) and as a kid we ALWAYS decorated the window...guess what? They don't know it yet, but it's going to be done again!!!
