Was Shae okay, Rogue?

| Went to this game today to watch as a neutral on a rare day off. I'm neither a Saints/Wigan fan so very much went to watch a good game and, at times, it didn't disappoint.
Wigan deserved the win being too strong in the last 15 mins for the very young Saints side.
What was disappointing was the attitude of the Wigan crowd. Now I'm used to Wigan fans believing that all refs are against their team but I heard one "fan" call a Saints guy a "d##k" when he dared to question a decision that went Wigan's way. This led to a bit of a strange atmosphere, almost like a stand-off at times then when Wigan started to stretch the score in the last 10 mins their "fans" started chanting "Easy, Easy".
This went too far and was well out of order. The game wasn't easy at all.
For years, I've always felt Wigan think they have a god given right to win, dominate and expect any decision to go their way. I've seen it creeping in even at Junior (U8s) upwards level.
Mark my words, one day, such chanting (Easy, Easy) will cause something to kick-off at a game that isn't stewarded.
This isn't just the case with Saints as opponents either, as last year I watched Warrington U20s beat Wigan very narrowly and late-on that caused uproar in the crowd.

He had his best game that I have seen him have for Wigan. Ran the ball well and defended well as he was up against Brotherton who Saints fans are hoping for big things from.

| Thought Jonny Walker had a good game. Roberts didn't look interested at the start but slowly got into it.
Who was the Saints full back? Very impressed with him.

The Saints full back is Nathan Ash from New Zealand. He makes some superb breaks but his decision making is poor (or has been when I have watched him). In the first half he was clear to to Wigan full back with players either side of him and he kicked.
On Roberts, dou you not think that it's his running style that makes him look disinterested? He just beats a man so easily and then lays the ball off.
What is apparent is that his acceleration looks to have gone after that injury.

Looked very dangerous chiming into the line.

| Signing Roberts on a four year contract does not look to be a sensible decision. If his contract was shorter he'd have been given the big heave-ho by now.

Excellent again, a poachers try from dummy half and a few barnstorming runs. I think he will be a future first team Wigan hooker, and is better than Logan Tomkins IMO. I can't understand Saints not giving him a chance.

Thanks, Brian. He did get mom for the 18s at Saints but it was hard to judge at the Hull K R game.

| How is Leatherbarrow going?
Never really put a marker down whilst at Warrington despite being "talked-up" when we first signed him.

He made a few mistakes yesterday, his timing was out, and then got a knock (to his leg) and didn't come back for the second half.

I have come here to chew bubblegum and kick ass, and I am all out of bubblegum.
Don't you struggle. Don't you fight. Don't you worry, cause it's your turn tonight!

Although Widnes lost today with Mellor scoring two in the process. Last week they beat Halifax, with Logan Tomkins scoring two tries.
www.youtube.com/watch?v=CpldTJDNpNk
Granted his tries are nothing special, but worth a minute and thirty of your life if you can spare it.
Thnx to whoever filmed it.
