Point gained - we were totally out of it and Leeds should have rubber stamped it well before the 70 minute mark. Sam's try for me screamed out that we need him at 6 in the future; Finch just isn't totally ready yet and McIllorum is still learning.

Pat would of been massive tonight, he would of caught the bombs and kicked the goals. That would of swung the scoreboard big style. We got away with crapness in a few areas tonight though.

Finch's pass to Sam at the end was quality. I'd go with that lineup next week too, with McIlorum coming off the bench. Sam is wasted at FB.

Thought Joel did ok at Centre too. I'd keep him there if possible.

He's a target for the kickers. None of the wingers that have played this season are really a good target for the halves when it comes to kicking - just not tall enough and just don't have the leap Pat does. He would've been huge tonight and he's going to be in future. But we all knew that.

We started well with McIllorum on, when he went of we fell apart and back on we stage a comeback. Coincidence?

Struggling against the top sides i see

Just that touch of class from Tomkins to dink it over the defender is something we don't get to see much of him doing at fullback. Sure, he's got a lot of room playing there - but what he is best at is making room and then attacking it. Other clubs have him sussed at FB now, it's time to get him back to five-eighth and do what he does best, which is create problems and torment defences.

I found this funny, like eddie had finally had enough of Clarkey and just cut him off.

I don't disagree. But the fact that we need Sam at 6 overbears that in my opinion. Sam at 6 with Tommy at 9 and Micky coming off the bench would be far more effective than Sam being marked out of games at 1 I reckon. Others, including yourself, will probably disagree but that's my view.

We would of struggled against most teams tonight. Shambolic at times but we sneaked out with a point somehow.

You could tell in Eddies voice how gutted he was

a point gained which hopefully will not disguise a very poor performance for 65 minutes, we have look totaly dissorganised in the last 2 games with finch at stand-off, whether he is ready or not he seems to have unsettled the rhythm of the team. some of his passing again tonight was attrocious as was his kicking game. hopefully he will settle into the team with time,same goes for lima.
