| sad to see, some fantastic (and not so fantastic) memories on that ground, more of our heritage gone, but hopefully saints will move on to better things.
like with CP, everytime i drive past tesco, i can still see the pop side and chipboard arms, it will be stange for saints fans to see housing estate, it really tugs the heart strings.
like with any old ground, remember her packed to the rafters during a derby match, not the pale shadow of what she once was

It's funny, every time I drive past Tescos I can't help but just picture how it used to be. Still can't get used to it even now.

| I'm sad in one way but glad in another.
Sad in that we've had so many good games and results and others at the wrong end of the scoreline.
I'm also glad Saints have gone from there and I think they just got out of there in time. The cost of running it put the whole future of the club in doubt. Staying there was not an option.
Once the new place was approved then the future looked bright again for Saints, if not KR.
I would far rather lose KR than the Saints club and at one time a few years ago I feared that we might have lost both.

| Like others have said, I'll miss the old place, the atmosphere in that away end was fantastic and i'd be surprised if it's the same at Widnes and then the new stadium. But they had to move before the place fell down around them, and it does look better on tv/people new to the sport if the best teams are playing out of good, modern stadiums.

| It will be missed, but it was time.
One of my best memories was around 2003/4 when Carney got the ball in his own 10m line at the opposite end to us fans.. I rather optimistically shouted 'All the way Brian!!' .. Next minute, he's evaded many tackles, flying through the middle and running straight towards us - The Wigan end erupted and he scored a brilliant individual try.

I shouted the same at Leeds away and it happened again! .. Tried it a few times with Calderwood, but that just fell of deaf ears!

Hopefully we can create an away end similar to the HJ. Wilderspool was fantastic on big game days and is even better at the HJ.
Hopefully we can do something along those lines!
