Quote AJ="AJ"Harsh. Its well known how hard he worked and how many long hours he spent at Orrell.

Re 6.30 training.
This club has been turned on its head & its brilliant to see. My worry already is how long before an NRL club comes for MM.'"
It was said tongue in cheek a little, but i don't think its harsh to be fair.
As i said at the time i dont care how long he was at Orrell, he was not maximising that time and the improvements in the players show that. Makes me wonder what the hell he was up to half the time.
Most clubs train from 6-30 and have for a long time, as for him living in Yorkshire as an excuse, I know a few of the current Leeds squad younger lads who have to leave at 5 in the morning to make training for 6-30. It would take no more than 40 minutes max to commute at that time in the morning in a car.
Its not a pop at Noble as such more a pop at the regime that was at the club and the lethargy that was clearly part of the core issue at Wigan since Mike Gregory was removed of his duties.
Wigan under MM and IL are embracing professionalism something any serious club in any sport has to do, this includes early starts, embracing Sports Science and training methods one of which is the early starts.
BN did a job for us, he stabilised us, but he lacked the skill set/knowledge to kick us on. We now have a much more knowledgeable coach in charge, who is maximising performance by not just good coaching but also good professional knowledge and a willingness to embrace a professional attitude.
Second best is simply not acceptable for Wigan and I do not think under BN this concept was ever grasped.
