He's not had the best of times at Hull though so far in comparison to Swain who was excellent.
Agree about Buderus though. It was a real shame he missed the majority of last season because any proper league fan would have loved to watch him in action.

He was ripping us to pieces in the Big One last year. Its only when he went off that we managed to get back into the game!

A fair point apart from the fact we led had fought back from 0-10 to 18-10 up when he went off.

Didn't realise it was that many. He's been an unbelievable player in his time and will go down as an alltime great.
I hope he has more luck this year and can get a full season in.

Yep got to agree with several here. Lam (who can forget the forward role try against Saints in the play offs) C Smith a giant of a guy with the heart of a lion (remember the tears after the GF defeat to Bradford) Barrett what a player, single handed won us many games. Jaime Lyon absolutely unbelievable player a fantastic talent. Big Les, what can you say, incredible! Comparable I think to Lomu at his best when he was trampling English back lines. On some days Les was just simply unplayable.

32226.jpg You can lead a horse to water but you can't climb a ladder with a bell in both hands.:32226.jpg |
|
| Fullback - Withers - he played on one leg for the last 3 years and nobody beat him one on one when they broke the line. Didn't have the Webb nasty head high streak either! Hodgson has only played for a year, got to have a minimum of 2 years surely?
Wingers - Vainikolo - you can't argue with the number of tries he scored, some of which were quite simply ridiculous. I'd go for Vaikona on Bradford bias, but stepping back and ignoring that, probably Darren Albert.
Centres - Lyon - pure class, he ripped us to part at Odsal in one of his first games. Not seen a perfomance like that for some time. Probably go for Hape as he made several tries for Les, avoiding Bradford bias I'd go for Tonie Carroll, he was a monster.
Halfbacks - Henry Paul - the man could do everything. Although he (Henry) didn't arrive in the 00's, I'll therefore go for Trent Barrett. Partner him with Stacy Jones - he was class at Catalan in a team that early on got a few hidings.
Props - Big Joe Vagana - such a consistent performer for so many years. Other prop - Craig Smith.
Hooker - Richard Swain - great player, with a great rugby brain.
Back row - Dave Furner had a massive influence on Leeds and Wigan in his time there. Always gave 100% and hardly ever missed a tackle. Bradford head says Danny Gartner as he was great for us, but he didn't have the "X" Factor that one or two others had. Probably go for Lauititi - a thinner version of David Solomnona!
Loose Forward - Jason Smith - class player

I will look to the moment, and miraculously, the future will take care of itself.

| Does Stanley Gene count as an import ?, pound for pound great little 100% player, IMO he would have been a 'fans favourite' down here.

3076_1671446335.jpg SAINTS THE ORIGINAL AND PERENNIAL CHEATS
For sale full Saints kit (circa 1989). Shirts in pristine condition, but shorts badly soiled.
For 27 - 0 you get a trophy
For 75 - 0 you get sod all.
Wigan had eight in a row
Saints have five in a row:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_3076.jpg |

And would certainly be one of the top value for money imports.
